New Firewood Policy – Effective April 1, 2019
In order to protect our forests and trees from invasive insects and diseases, Tranquility Campground asks that ALL campfires be made with heat-treated wood or downed wood collected inside the park, near the campsite. Please refrain from bringing untreated wood into the park.
We sell firewood collected here from downed trees on the property and we also accept Certified heat-treated wood and is clearly marked with a state/federal seal.

Wi-Fi Disclaimer:
WI-FI is only available near the entrance or office.
See Why campground wi-fi never works
- The trees! You go to the campground to be closer to nature, to leave the big city filled with concrete for greener pastures. Unfortunately given Wi-Fi’s line of sight requirement, trees and other obstructions like buildings and other RV’s significantly degrade the signal as it makes its way from the transmitter to your receiving device like a router, USB adapter, phone, laptop, smart TV or tablet.
- Your RV: Building on the point made about the trees, your RV is essentially shielding you from outside Wi-Fi signals (and other signals too). While trees are bad for long range Wi-Fi, worse off is metals like aluminum and steel. Add to that the fiberglass, furniture and kitchen appliances in the camper and you have a recipe for poor reception.
- The signal strength may vary depending on the demand, your location and your computer. Our Wi-Fi is not intended for heavy use such as downloading movies, streaming videos, or inappropriate content. Should you abuse the system, your access will be blocked.
So be nice to your friendly campground staff, it’s not their fault you can’t stream the latest football game.
